How To Use A MUD

Multi-User Dungeon (MUD) - Adventure, role playing games, or simulations played on the Internet. Devotees call them "text-based virtual reality adventures." The games can feature fantasy combat, booby traps and magic. Players interact in real time and can change the "world" in the game as they play it.

Each MUD world has a unique environment depending on which kind of server it runs on, its user community, and how it has developed, but generally shares certain fundamental characteristics in common with other MUDs. The following sections provide basic information on how to use a MUD.
